The American pallet — also called the universal pallet or isopallet — measures 1200 × 1000 mm (120 × 100 cm), with a height of around 145 mm and an empty weight of between 20 and 30 kg. It supports up to 1,200 kg in dynamic load and around 4,000 kg in static load. Thanks to its larger surface area (1.20 m²), it is the go-to format for export and sea container transport. 💡 Practical rule: If your racking and loads allow it, the 1200 × 800 europallet is more efficient for domestic logistics. If your load is wide, heavy, or headed outside Europe, the American 100×120 is your option.
